Check-in
We recommend that you arrive at check in at least 30 minutes before your flight Check-in Deadline.
We recommend that you arrive at check-in at least 30 minutes before your flight Check in Deadline. This will give you peace of mind and will allow you to take advantage of the special services tailored to your requirements specified at reservation:
- being looked after by qualified personnel,
- check-in and special labeling of wheelchairs.
Upon arrival of long haul flights, your chair and baggage are delivered first.
- free of charge transportation of your wheelchair in the hold (2 chair maximum). Wheelchairs are labeled and protected by special packaging. Remember to indicate how your wheelchair functions at check in (battery, etc.),
- a wheelchair will be available for you until you are safely seated in the aircraft. At some airports*, you are also given the possibility of keeping your own wheelchair until you board.
Depending on your disability, you will be assigned to a special seat so that your trip is as comfortable as possible. Our aircraft are equipped with retractable armrests which ease transit from wheelchair to seat. For your information If you are traveling with a guide dog, you must present the dog´s training certificate at check-in. |

Boarding
We do our utmost to ensure that you board in the most comfortable conditions possible.
You benefit from pre-boarding before other passengers, on request, when you check-in or board. This pre-boarding is automatically offered if you have a motor-based disability – whether you are traveling alone or accompanied – or if you are an unaccompanied mentally disabled person. If you are in a wheelchair, you are accompanied onto the aircraft right to your seat, on an Air France wheelchair. Specific cases
- You can access the boarding hall in your own wheelchair if you are departing from airports in:
- Paris Charles de Gaulle 2 if you have a manual wheelchair, - Paris Orly West, regardless of wheelchair type. Your wheelchair is then placed in the aircraft´s hold until you arrive or it is sent on to a connecting flight.
- If you need respiratory assistance until you board the aircraft, during transit and transfer, you are asked to order an ambulance or the airport´s medical service. This service is at your own expense.
